You are about to witness the transformation of a 1950 chevy into
a one of a kind street rod! I started out with an almost stock 1950 Chevy that had been sitting
in a garage for 25 years. I wanted to do something different with regards to a motor other than the typical small block
chevy that so many car guys choose. After doing a considerable amount of reading on six cyclinders, I choose the 2006
Trail Blazer dual overhead cam in-line 4.2 liter six cyclinder. This motor is factory rated at 291 hp at 6000 RPMs and 271
FPT at 4800 RPMs.
Here are two photos of the 1950 Chevy before I started cutting it apart. The body
and interior were in pretty good condition. There were a few minor rust spots that needed to be repaired,
but nothing major. The interior had been re-upholstered in 1982 and was still
in pretty good condition.
